⚖ Compare

The 458 Challenge Evo is the revised version of the 458 Challenge one-make cup race car. Thanks to the Evo upgrade, it laps Ferrari's Fiorano test track faster than the FXX, whereas the standard 458 Challenge required 1:16.5, two seconds faster than the F430 Challenge. Together with the standard version, just under 150 vehicles were built, of which around 30 percent were Evos, representing slightly fewer than 50 units. An estimated five to ten cars were lost to accidents each season. The series was replaced in 2017 by the 488 Challenge.

Good to know

  • The standard Challenge is just 0.2 seconds behind the FXX at Fiorano; according to Ferrari, the Evo conversion makes the car faster than it.
  • A total of between 25 and 50 Challenge cars were lost to accidents; presumably fewer than 100 remain today.
