Gerhard Berger is an Austrian former racing driver who won ten Grands Prix for Benetton, Ferrari, and McLaren. Enzo Ferrari signed him for the 1987 season, in which he became teammate to Michele Alboreto, replacing Stefan Johansson. Following technical retirements, he came on strong in the second half of the season, winning the final two races of the year. With Ferrari, he finished third in the overall standings twice, in 1988 and 1994.
