What was the first Ferrari?
The first Ferrari is the Ferrari 125 S (1947). March 12: first engine start. May 11: race debut in Piacenza. In that same year, the first victory in Rome. As early as 1940, Enzo Ferrari's company built the Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 – still without the Ferrari name.
1939: Split with Alfa Romeo. Enzo founded Auto Avio Costruzioni; he was not allowed to use the Ferrari name for racing cars for four years.
