Rory Byrne is a South African racing car designer. He was chief designer at Toleman, later Benetton, and subsequently at Scuderia Ferrari, which he joined in 1997. At Ferrari, he designed all the cars with which Michael Schumacher became World Champion. The Ferrari single-seaters he designed won over 75 Grands Prix, six Constructors' and five Drivers' titles; altogether, cars built to his designs account for ninety-nine Grand Prix victories.
