Jean Todt, previously a co-driver in the World Rally Championship and head of Peugeot Talbot Sport, was brought to Ferrari in 1993 by Luca di Montezemolo. Starting with the French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours, he led the racing department with 400 technicians at a time when the Scuderia had not won a drivers' title since 1979. He restructured the management of the racing department, and in 1994 Gerhard Berger won the German Grand Prix, Ferrari's first victory in four years. Under his leadership, the Ferrari teams clinched 13 titles in the Formula 1 World Championship. Later, from 2009 to 2021, he served as President of the FIA, the world governing body of motorsport.
