The Ferrari 612 Kappa is a one-off that Pininfarina built for the American businessman and Ferrari collector Peter S. Kalikow; the "K" stands for his name. The car was shown on April 23, 2006 at the Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance (the German source gives 2007). It differs from the 612 Scaglietti in many details of its own: a functional hood scoop, additional air vents near the front wheels, taillights like those of the Enzo and F430, door handles with the owner's initials and a glass roof whose tint can be varied. It is painted in "Pozzi Blue". At Kalikow's request, Ferrari agreed not to carry these features over into later models.
